New '07

This is my first post on this forum so i'd first like to say hello and hope i'll enjoy my stay.

I just bought a new 07 Canadiann spec x5 4.8i in AW with the following:

Tech package
Premium package
Sport Package
Activity package
3rd row
Rear climate
20 in wheels
Dark Bamboo
Black Leather

I have not seen it yet as it is being shipped from out west so I have a few questions. I realize I should of went in more details with the dealer but they are closed at this time of the day and some things are bugging me.

1. I see there is a Canadian ordering guide sticky for '08. Can anyone provide a link to an '07 Can. guide. Some of the package codes have changed and i'm trying to figure out the differences.

2. Does the 07 premium package include the 16 speaker sound system?

3. Does the sport package include the seats with the extra "cushion" on the headrest? Sorry don't know what else to call it.

Any major changes between 07 and 08. Also Bmw.ca does not even list the '08 yet

Thanks

Welcome and congratulations!

1. I have no idea? Others will be able to help you on this.

2. Same speaker sound system, but the cd disc changer is now a dvd media changer.

3. That would be comfort seats, which is completely different from sports seats.

4. No major differences, except auto tailgate and auto hold, which I believe are the only differences.

Don't forget to post pictures!

Thanks. Any idea what package are those comfort seats are included in. I don't see them as a stand alone option?

What is auto hold?

1. I believe it is the Multi-Coutour Seats with Lumbar Support.

2. Auto Hold is when you are at a complete stop (stop light for example), you will no longer need to step on your brake pedal, it will auto hold it for you, when ready to move, just gas it and go.

This is the coolest function. I just figure out what it was yesterday ... playing around with it in heavy traffic it made a relatively enjoyable commute out of it!

Welcome. And post #5 is completely ironic.
