2007 Owners.....Rear Climate Package Question

Hey Everyone!

I had a quick question for all you 2007 (4.8 & 3.0 if it really matters) owners that has the Rear Climate Package.

Did your vehicle come with Rear Manual Side Window Shades?

Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

NO, I do not have an 07, but I did alot of research about the shades and I believe there werent available at all on early production cars, and after that, they were available as a stand alone option, and on any 07's were never included in climate package, unless I am wrong, cost was $250

on 08, they discontinued standalone option and then made it part of climate package. I was a bit dissapointed and chose to buy rear shades as a separate option as an accessory available in bmw catalog.
BAD choice, the shades are different and they attach with clips, if you want to take them down, you have to actually take them off and store them folded in BMW pouch elsewhere. The original shades get lowered manually into the door.

You've got to be kidding me, to put them down you have to actually take them off???!!! Holy crap! That is the dumbest thing BMW has done to date. Are you sure you are talking about the side door sunshades?

NOOO, I am talking about the accessory option, the included shades in Climate option is the real thing, it lowers into the door....
I decided not to get the whole climate package since I didnt want the rear climate control, I think manual is good enough, Tint didnt really interest me enough since I knew it wasnt dark enough in the back and I was going to tint the front windows anyway.
I got the accessory option, http://accessories.bmwusa.com/ItemVi...&productId=636#
which is the one I described above.

2007 no shades either. In the brochure it says they are included, but look at the sticker and see what options there are, Mine does not list "rear climate package" but lists "rear climate access" or something like it. I inquired about the shades from the Parts dept, but never bothered to ask my dealer about them.
