Smell like "blue cheese", why and how?

Hi guys,
My E70 was delivered on September and totally 5000 km (3100mile). I only park my lovely E70 in parking deck.

I found that whenever I turn on the A/C, there comes very disgusting smell, like blue cheese. But after 1 or 2 minutes, the smell gone. This happens only when I turn on the compressor, if I turn on the fan only, then no such a phenomenon.

I know that when something contaminate the pipe, this could happen. I have checked over and found nothing. Beside, my car is quite new, and
I only park my car indoor.

Does anyone have similar or same experience?

Cool, a $ 100.000 car which you need to drill holes in and fumigate to remove the fungus....

LOL.. its only bacteria that builds up in the drip tray due to stagnant water dripping as condensate from your A/C coil, this is usually a quick fix from a car air conditioning company or main dealer, a quick spray of disinfectant into the air intake for the air conditioning coil or (if its accessible) a spray onto the drip tray + Coil itself.

Nothing to be worried about...unless there’s leginers in there ..lol ..which im sure there isn’t!

well its either that or u have dropped some red
Leicester under the seat!

Think this is only an option with BMW France (0599 - Roquefort)

I find that if I turn on the A/C more oftenly, then the odor disappears. (It is winter so I don't use A/C frequently.)

BTW,

What about "espresso" option?

I need to keep my eyes open everyday morning on my way to office.

haha I had this problem in my cadillac cts. Everytime I would turn on the A/C it would smell like socks!! it would eventually go away within a few mins, but the problem was mildew or something building up inside the ducts. Try changing your cabin filter
