I've only done a little over 500 miles myself. I'm loving this car

I'm pleasantly surprised. I do not feel the size difference at all. The handling is incredible, shifting is much smoother. The ride is soft when it should be soft and firm when it should be firm. I need to take a road trip.

What happened to the temp gauge

I'm at about 400 in a fully optioned (save rear seats) 4.8. Definitely in love. We also have a similar 2001 4.4 in excellent shape and it now feels (dare I say this) crude in comparison.

My only real complaint is the deletion of a water temperature gauge for a worthless mpg indicator. Some bean counter should be shot.

I'm gonna have to complain that I don't get to drive enough, once I get my car. I work from home and only go out to take my wife to and from the train station a mile away. That plus whatever we do on weekends. I'm trying to think of more excuses to go out on top of why I won't be using our other car. 500 miles... that's gonna take me over a month.

OK - flame me. Did they make the gas tank smaller? I know that my mpg will improve, I'm only getting 11.5 right now but it sure feels like I fill up a lot more often.

I too need to drive more. My daily commute is about 15 miles each way. Not nearly long enough to enjoy. I'm looking forward to our holiday get together in MD.
