BMW France no longer gives courtesy cars
I think that service in the US is Fantastic!
In France, if you need to bring your Brand New X5 for a warranty repair, BMW no longer lend you a Car. My PDC button and steering wheel memory system was not working from day 1. I already left my car one day to my Dealer and now they are asking me to bring it back for another 2 to 3 days for reprogramming and part change. Of course, they want me to use the public transportation! I did it for the first day and it sucks! I called the BMW customer support, who confirmed that BMW only give a courtesy car if you have a total break down. I did it in the past for another car and I got a nice tiny Fiat from a rental company. I bought a 7 , 5 and an X5 in the last 5 years. The X5 is a $130k car (90Euros) . I am furious! I strongly advise the European customer to negotiate the loan of a car when they place an order. |

I just took my car in to get a off interval oil change and some other minor cosmetic stuff. I asked them when I made the appointment if they could provide me with a car. When I brought it in, they gave me a invoice for a hertz rental that they paid for located inside their CPO building.
So they gave me a piece of junk honda accord. Better than nothing |
