Treo 750 AT&T w/ Wondows Moblie 6 not downloading address book

I bought a new AT&T Treo 750, downloaded the latest Windows Mobile 6 hoping it would download all the Contacts from the address book to the IDrive. No luck, doesn't work. Same old result, just downloads the favorites or speed dial contacts. Bummer............

Look on the bright side. Just think of what a bummer it would be if you couldn't download anything? Be thankful for small things like (downloading the favorites or speed dial contacts........

Considering the VX6800 (Mogul) with Windows Mobile 6 myself. Is it the particular phone or is it the OS? Anyone with WM6 that has full i-drive compatibility?

I have the Mogul and it works fine so I don't think its WM6 that is the problem. If you use Inesoft address book, try re-indexing the contacts and it should work.

It is a known issue with all Treo devices. Their implementation of bluetooth stack is just shiite. Look at a treocentral.com. There is also a software program that seems to work. The free trial is not effective, but it costs $14.95 and have heard great results on the treo forums about. The link, and I HAVE NO AFFILIATION, is www.jetwaremobile.com.

Then i guess my 700P must be an exception. Mine connects with bluetooth and downloads the favorites list without a problem. But that may be because it's using Palm OS instead of windows.

It is a well known issue with palm regardless of OS. They will only sync favorites, no SIM/full contact lists in their native form.

Doesn't matter if it is CDMA or GSM/UMTS. Just wont sync full list.

This is a major downfall on Palm and their bluetooth stack implementation. The jetware mobile software, only available on WM Palm devices, "fixes" the bluetooth stack and, for most, it works very well for FULL implementation on BMW, Merc, Audi.

Many threads about this at www.treocentral.com.

I just downloaded the Jetware product, and yes it did download contacts from the contacts folder and seems to work!!! However, it did not load all of them. Looking at the Jetware support site, it states that it is common for the modules that you are downloading them to, to have memory limits and so if you have a large contacts list then not all of them will download.

Does anyone know what the limit is on the number of contacts that can be dowloaded to the IDrive?
