Temp guage innacurate?

I'm in Southern California and the weather and according to my temp guage, the temperature is always 50F lol. Anyone else have problems with their temp guage?

That is not the "temp gauge" but the external temp gauge. It probably needs replaced, you can buy the part and do it yourself. If is usually located behind the front air dam, on most BMW's. If not a dealer or independent shop could change it for you.

Must be boring living in a place where it is the same temp all the time. You could either move to a region with variable temperatures, or take it to the dealer as the sensor is likely faulty.

I think you can adjust it to display celsius... what's it say then? Maybe all it needs is a kick in the rear... switch it back after.

BTW, weather.com says it's 55F in LA right now.

It is; we never talk about the weather. Nor do we have 18" wheels that the kids have to cart up from the basement every November.
