DVD rear entertainment.

Is it just me or Anyone else ever find that the DVD player on the centre console is situated too low? I supposed that this is something for the kids to watch and in North America, kids has to be in the car seat in the second row, aren't they just stairing down to the screen in stead of eye level watching??

is there really a perfect location?

headrest just as high as this is low (for kids) and ceiling mount way too high. Personally I prefer this location over the other two options.

It is too low and causes most people watching to get motion sickness, but it all really depends on the person watching.

I've mounted Tv monitors in every conceivable location in vehicles. I think the location in the stock X5 is better than ceiling or headrest because there is less ambient light diffusion mounted lower and less peripheral motion detection than when mounted on headrests or ceiling. The biggest problem with the location is that it is unviewable from the 3rd row seat.
