This is why I never let the dealer wash my car... please HELP!
Long story short, I ALWAYS make sure to let the service dpmt. know when my X5 is in, to NOT wash my car.
Well, this last time they did, so my CA called me and told me about it. However, as a way to make up for it, he asked them to detail it as a courtesy, since they had bypassed my instructions of not washing it! That made it worse! When they waxed and buffed it, apparently they did not tape off all of the black trim around the car, and the parts on the door, because now they have terrible white, huge scuff marks made by the edges of the rotator as they buffed! I took it immediately to my detail guy who has over 20 years of experience and, without having to tell him, he knew right away what caused the white marks on all of the black trim! So even though he used some stuff to shine it up and bring it back to life, that came off after I washed it a few days later and it looks terrible again. - Please, guys... what is there left for me to do? How can I take care of this? I talked to the dealer and told them that they have to figure out a way, but it looks complicated. At first I thought, "well, maybe they can just replace the trim". But the front and rear bumper seem to be attached to the black plastic trim pieces. Any suggestions? Thank you for allowing me to vent! Last edited by gmoney; 01-05-2008 at 07:49 PM. |
