You're going to be blown away by the difference. I'm amazed going from a 4.4i E53 to a 4.8i E70.

Congrats!

They may have finally given the US dealers the ability to order saddle brown as another member said they might soon. I guess they did the same with brushed aluminum. I love the look of the aluminum but found light poplar looked better alongside saddle brown. If it were a black interior, the brushed aluminum would look great.

So the dealer sent me an email saying my new X5 is scheduled for production on January 17. Anyone have any clue how long it will take to get to the dealer (Southern California) from that point?

I've never ordered a US built BMW before. Bought my current X5 off the lot.

Build time is 4-5 days then transport across the country is a few more. Dealer prep is another 1.

Hi Bimmer,

I am looking to upgrade to the new E70 and also live in So Cal, can you please tell me who you spoke with regarding your lease deal? Also, if you would be so kind to give $ specifics I would appreciate it. Thanks, I hope you enjoy your new ride when it comes. Take care.

Banana, get quotes from many dealers and include Jim Scira at SouthBay in Torrance. Mine is (on order via SouthBay) a purchase not a lease so no data for the MF, monthly, etc.. But you've got 10-15 dealers in So Cal...call all of them for a quote!

Could you please elaborate on the amazing differences besides the price. My lease is up in a year and I planned on keeping my E53 4.4i but lately I have thought about an E70?
