Did any of you replace the tires of origin run flat of their X5 by classic tires? In France, BMW says that it is not possible by the fact that X5 was approved with tires run flat. The tyre-makers (Michelin, Dunlop, Bridgestone, Pirelli...) say that it is not advised but that it is not either forbidden or do not illegal. Nevertheless dealers or specialists of tyres agree to take up tires not run flat as a replacement..... This interrogation is very important because: - tires run flat wear out faster than the classic tires, - they are much more expensive (30 in 50 % more) - and with difficulty available
