Suing BMW Ireland over cracked rim, help needed

Hi,

First of all don't get me wrong I love my car and would give it back however...

After getting nowhere with my compliant with BMW Ireland I have decided to suing them for the cost of a new rim (see previous post http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e70-forum/...ht=cracked+rim ). They maintain that the crack was as result of a impact. I will argue that I never had any significant impact and the product is not fit for the purpose for which it was intended. IE combinate of stiff side wall RFT etc.

If anyone else has had problems with BMW rims can they send me their story with a photo

Thanks

Marc

I stick by my earlier post on this, though I don't know if you can 'prove' the dealer is misleading you.

It might be easier to sue the Irish government because of the potholes. Sorry no useful input here but good luck none the less.

Have you ever noticed that the wheel weight is right there? I wonder if the rim was damaged - repiared by the manufactured and then sent into the X5 facility. Depending on how they fixed it, maybe they removed material and re-welded - hence the requirement of the wheel weight to balance after the fact. ...just my two cents.
