Smile Finally going into production

Hi All,

Well after 11 months from my initial order it looks like my E70 will be built in Feb 2008 with delivery in April this year.
Delays began with the shortages experienced last year particularly with the side blinds, I was supposed to take delivery in July 2007. In the end I was to take delivery in November/December, but I canned it and decided to wait for an 08 build.
I have ordered the following
  • E70 4.8i
  • Sports Pack
  • Black Sapphire metallic
  • Black Nevada Leather
  • Brushed aluminium Trim
  • Running Boards (side steps)
  • Sunroof
  • 3rd row seats
  • Heads Up Display
  • Adaptive Drive
  • 20" Wheels
  • USB iPod option
  • Rear Climate control
  • Side Blinds
  • Heated Seats
  • Auto Tailgate Option
Can anyone tell me if active steering is worth it, I am told otherwise.

Also, can anyone guide me to the US website to track the production of my E70?

Cheers

Dimma

Buyers from Australia cannot use oc.bmwusa.com to track their car. I've been there with no success and even rang BMWNA.

Only the dealer can do it for you and even then it's not common knowledge amongst the staff there - i know from experience.

My SD is finished and waiting to be driven to the dock. I found this out by special favour from someone I know in Service - the sales manager wasn't able to find this info out for me.
