Does any one have Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport RFT on their 20's?

Hi, all,

i am still trying to decide with which tire to go for the replacement of the stock dunlop sport maxx. BMW has bridgestone and dunlop both as original equipment? could any one please share his/hers bridgestone experience?

I have them... what would you like to know.....

I'm at 18,000km since September 07, and they are performing well. Turn in is good, as you would expect.. I think that at best I'll probably get 25-30,000km out of them, before I change to NON run flats......

I just had a holiday from hell... Was 1,000km from a big city, and got a cut in the sidewall... Lucky for me, the local tyre guy patched it, but I then had a loooonnnggg slooowww drive home at 100km/h.... not fun.....

which tires are you gonna go for when these ones wear out? I was thinking about getting Yokohamas ADVAN ST, but i've read some mixed reviews and now I am not sure. There are Bridgestones Dueler H/P non-runflat tires, but their load index is lower than what is required. I dunno what to do

I was planning to go ADVAN...... Could not be worse than a run flat.....

The only issue is whether or not you will be able to have a replacement closeby should something go wrong......

I've also got the 20" bridgestones, very firm ride but they do handle real well in turns,, I find them very noisy on certain surfaces so keep that in mind ! Life wise they look good for approx 25-30,000 Kms. I hope by the time I need to replace mine that I have a few more choices than what are currently available, at least some improvement to the RF technology.

it seems that the Bridgestones can last longer than the Dunlops, i have 11,000 miles and the front ones are almost gone! the rear ones seem to be ok for now, i dont know what to do, each tire runs for $400+. So for the price of two front ones, i can get four bridgestones! I agree, we do need more choices.

Get some regular tyres and a cannister of emergeny inflation foam. That's what I will be doing. No M/// BMW's are suppiled with run flat's.....they know better!!!

I changed the run flats on my 535d for regular tyres, transformed the ride. Regaulr tyres can be repaired whilst run flats can't and are cheaper too.

i agree, but there are not as many tire choices for us.

I've got about 10K miles on my Bridgestones, and they still look good!

But when they wear, it's a good set of regular Michelins for replacements.

Nice thing about the 3.0 without the rear seat is the spare tire under the luggage area!

Hello

- tires run flat (Bridgestone or Dunlop) wear out faster than the classic tires,
- they are much more expensive (30 in 50 % more)
- and with difficulty available

Only 3 manufacturers propose tires in the dimensions (Front: 275/40/R20, Rear: 315/35/R20), the indications of speed (W: Front & Rear) and load (Front: 106, rear: 110) of X5 in 20" :
