2008 X5, 3.0 - Is this a good deal

Hi All,

I am new to this forum.

I have gone to multiple dealers in Chicago land. I have been reccomended to this forum by a friend. Based on the car, I have built:

Alpine White
premium package
premium sound package
technology package
Heads up display
Comfort Access System
Front Heated Seats

The MSRP is $56,575 inclusive of destination.

One dealer has gone down to $53,575 inclusive of destination.

Does anybody think, its a good deal?
Can anyone suggest what is the best time to buy it with good financing options?

If you are leasing, now is a great time to do so. If you are buying, well then it will depend on your financing source.

What is the invoice on this car including destination? I would say anywhere between $500 and $1000 over invoice is a pretty good deal.

Hi Jason, thanks for the quick reply. From what I've heard, the dealers often end up showing you the invoice price to sell the vehicle, however, based on my research, the dealers get the vehical for atleast 5% below the invoice price they end up showing to you. Then, how would $500 to $1000 over invoice be a good deal?

I always use the invoice I calculate using the pricing info on this website, or www.bimmerfest.com/forums. Another way is going to www.edmunds.com and using the pricing w/ options selection.

Those are true numbers. I never use a invoice number that the dealer gives me. I show them my numbers that I have and go from there.

I am sure you saw this thread http://www.xoutpost.com/x5-e70-forum/...il-2-29-a.html but if you didn't it is about the $2500. rebate until the end of Feb. You may not have heard of this but your dealer certainly has.

Listen to Jason, he got a good deal on his.

So if I understand the way this should work, go too KBB price it out with options, add $1k to the invoice, deduct $2500. and there is your price.

I leased my 2007 for 24 months and got the rebate and olp money factor and it made a big difference in my monthly payment.

By the way, with the rebate you could really get yourself a great SAV at a great price.

No problems at all. I had to learn the hardway about leasing and buying, so glad to be of some service.

I would make one suggestion to your configuration....Add the comfort seats. They are worth every penny....Especially with the $2500 trunk money on the 2008 X5 right now...
