$1200.00 for Aerodynamic Kit install???

The dealer wants to charge us $1200 labor + $350 paint to install the aerodynamic kit. They claim it's about 10 hours labor to install which. Is this true?

i think that is very high. it takes almost no time to put the aero kit on. they make holes in the rear bumper, and if i am not mistaken, the front piece sits on glue.

It's the price I got too. My total including part was $2300. I couldn't find any cheaper locally. You can probably do it yourself after paint though - there was a thread on it recently - search for it. They told me it was an 8-hour job.

According to BMW's E70 Installation Instructions, the installation time is "approx. 0.5 hours for front panelling + approx 0.5 hours for rear panelling". That dealer that you spoke to must have a REALLY high hourly rate

It's funny you say that. When I wanted the Aero Kit added to mine, the CA didn't know what it was and then seemed reluctant to even get into the discussion. I was quoted a high price initially...
