Aero Kit on a Sapphire Black X5?

Would appreciate your thoughts on this people, please........

Is there a noticable change in look when an Aero Kit is fitted on a black car?

I think it looks great on the lighter colours, cos it takes away the bulkiness of the black bumpers, but on a black car, does the aero kit get lost in the blackness of the bumpers anyway, and thus becomes hardly noticable?

Just wondering is it a waste on a black car?

I think it looks good on black or in any color. I would have gotten it if I wasn't leasing my E70.

I agree with golfer4life, any color will look good. I just ordered mine yesterday for my soon to arrive X5. One question for you all reading this post, should I paint the bumpers, wheel arches, and side step?

While it definitely looks better, I don't think it looks $2k better (cost of parts/labor) on the black.

Thats what I was thinking, whereas it does look the business on a lighter colour ?

The link to the pics above show it can look great, but it still doesn't stand out like on colours other than black?

The difference is barely noticeable on a black car especially in the front.(My dealer also told me this)

The pictures earlier in this threat are from my car. Firstly the main reason I chose black as color is that I liked it the best. Especially with so many black bumper parts. With black exterior color, the bumper parts would not stand out as much as with a lighter color. I like a more equal colored car (if that makes sense).

The reason I also went for the Aero Kit is that it gives a subtle extra to the looks of the car, eventhough I agree that a lighter color will show it better. I guess it is a matter of taste.

You can actually bargain with BMW regarding the aero kit. For the paint, just need to find someone that knows someone that paints or get a referral from someone and from there you can get some discounts.
