Pressing Start/Stop button while rolling??

Hi all,
While reading a thread "Pressing P while driving??" from gipper, it occurs to me, "what about pressing Start/Stop button while rolling or driving?"

In the manual, page 57, it says:

1. Engage transmission position P with the vehicle stopped.
2. Briefly press Start/Stop button.

I have tried the following in the garage:

Stop my car in still (without velocity) -> shift gear selector to "N" ->
press the start/stop button without depressing brake padel -> The enging stopped.

So, that means, we don't need to depress the brake padel to switch off the engine, and we don't need the "P" gear either.

Of course, it is not as easy as touching the P on the top of the joy stick. I just courious what if the car is still rolling and someone accidently press the Start/Stop button, what will happen?

Not too much of a shocker that it works that way in Neutral, try it in drive in your driveway.

kaify already tried that , theres a thread somewhere here ..

the car will turn off and active steering will be disengaged . As soon as the vehicle stops rolling , the transmission will shift to P automatically and the parking brake as well .

thanks to the tool kaify

Oh! Well, sorry to ask a existing question with answer.

But somehow, in the thread, someone said that he can restart the engine by pressing the button again (he has comfort access). I wonder doesn't he need to depress the brake padel for starting the engine? But in the mean time, Kaify said that the brake padel becomes much stiffer. It sounds weird.

read that thread properly

brakes do not get stiffer , steering wheel does

it is impossible to turn the car back on while rolling
