Cool Look, Ma! No Plastic Seat Covers!

Contrary to popular belief, you can remove the plastic seat covers from a Platinum Bronze E70!

I have a 2008 3.0si loaner for the next few days while my E53 is getting serviced. It only had 52 miles on it when I got it this morning.

I drove an E70 during last year's Ultimate Drive for Susan G. Komen for the Cure and at the SunFest Meet, so it's not totally new to me.

Here are some things I've found after putting about 20 miles on it:

When it's not in Sport Mode, it's boring.

I cannot stand the delay when I hit the accelerator. (Another reason why I love my '01 so much -- when I stomp on the gas, it goes!)

I really do like iDrive. I've used it in other loaners I've had and I like it a lot. I really can't figure out why Juan hates it so much! It's so easy to use!

The sunroof is beast!

A few pictures:

Nice Loaner, Mich!

It even looks like your former PenPal's car!
Good job on the plastic removal...

Maybe you need that Booster Gizmo for the throttle toe-in?

I thought they all came with really cool plastic seat covers? Did you get the cool odometer reset button?

Anyway, going to be hard going back to the E53

Is it going to be hard going back to the E53? Yes and no.

I was talking to my SA about the E70 and we both agreed that it must have the 21" rims and aero kit to even come close to the aggressive look of the E53.
