How to disable comfort opening?

When my wife puts her keys in her purse and goes inside our home, occasionally an object in her purse will press and hold down the unlock button on the remote. This will activate the comfort opening feature, which causes the windows and sunroof to partially open. As our X5 is not stored in a garage, this is a very undesirable feature in case of rain. We often do not even realize it has happened until the next morning.

Does anyone know how to disable the comfort opening feature?

i was gonna say, it's makes more sense to have your wife put the key somewhere secure that's not going to accidently push the button. It has to not only get pushed but held in place too

Disabling comfort opening should entail a dealer visit

Thanks for the replies. My wife particularly liked the one about being more careful.

Can the dealer disable other features on the remote? For example, the only button I want to work is lock. The others we do not want. Is this possible?

Have you tried looking at the iDrive Car Setup options, there might be an option in there.Everythin in the e70 x5 is computer controlled so it may not need anything more than a programming change.
