Keeping clean: Monaco Blue vs Black?

Quick question for those who have the experience, is there really any difference between these colors in terms of keeping the car clean, how it looks between detailings, and how it shows chips etc?

There are 2 blacks: Sapphire black and jet black. Of these and Monaco blue I prefer Monaco blue and then Sapphire black as next choice. Monaco has more depth. Looks dark blue during the day and almost black at night.

The Monaco Blue is deeper than the previous E53 Toledo Blue - gorgeous when clean. I would suspect that the black is just as hard to keep clean, and that chips show up on both easily.

I had Orientblue on a E36 cabrio (the same colour as Monaco, just a new name) and it's far more easy to keep clean than a black colour, looks better also, specially in the sun.

Any dark car is hard to keep clean looking. There is nothing as beautiful as a clean black car, but they only stay that way for a few days. If clean is your priority, go for a lighter color, or commit yourself to lots of washings if you want it to look great!

i have quit trying to keep mine clean. it is afterall a work truck. sapphire black is a sharp color, even under dirt.

the dark green metallic is real sharp also. it looks more like black then green.

Monaco Blue reminds me of Orient Blue so much.
Used to own a 3 series with that color. Beautiful!
