I assume you are talking about the iDrive screen up front? Since the US has laws against it, you probably won't find a third party who will do it, so this would be a DIY project, I believe.

Just got an email response from TVnav2go and they have the 'TV Free unit' for the e70 for $350. Anyone want to be the first one?

If you do it, I'll do it. We should get a group buy going.

Do you guys know if the tvandnav2go (or any other TV Free unit) works with the US model E70? The reason I ask is that normally on non-US models, as well as US model BMW's with OEM TV retrofits the picture would turn off as soon as the car started to move and return when the car stopped. All the TV Free modules from many different vendors work fine with these BMW's, however, the US model E70's video is cut off as soon as the car's transmission is switched out of "P". I contacted someone in Germany who was selling the "TV Free" modules on eBay and he said that he had already sent one of his units to a US customer but that it didn't work because unlike the European model's speed related picture lock the US model's was a transmission related lock, thus his module did not work with the US model.

So that's why I am wondering if the tvandnav2go (or any other system) is now made to work with the US model E70 or not????? If it is then I would join in on a group buy.
