Bad highbeam

Anyone have something to get better highbeam om E70?

The highbeam on the e70 uses the HID, the same one used for the low beam, but moves the reflector to allow full range from the light. The inner bulb is no longer used for the high beam, only for the DRLs and angel eyes.

Are the HIDs not bright enough?

This actually may vary from country to country.

In the US, we have bi-xenons. There is a shutter that is raised inside the low beam projector when the high beams are activated. Hence, we don't really have any use for the inner bulbs, except for DRL and flash-to-pass in the E70 models.

Agree, we have Bi-Xenon, and inner high beam, they go on at the same time while on, if flash then only inner wil lit, Sweden uses xenon low beam as DRL and it is actually a law to have DRL on

So what I understand is: when you have high-beams on (not flash-to-pass) both the inner and outer lamps come on?

In that case, it would be difficult to get a response from a US board. Only our outer headlamps come on with low or high-beams.

That is correct, outer (xenon) flip the metal thing into the high beam, and inner go on as usual (like when you flash), I most likely has to do with stupid rule in the states about nuber of lights that can be on at the same time. We can have as many extra high beam lights as we please, some do and it si ugly site

I have Xenons like I did on previous 535d which had Xenons too. The X5 lights definitely don't light up the road ahead like they did on my 535d. Both cars had adaptive headlights so that's not the difference.
