2008 x5 4.8 PAINT DEFECTS updated

I brought 2008 x5 4.8i fully loaded back in march, except for the rear entertainment console, because didn't like it in the middle of the armrest. But the weather was too cold to clay bar, wax and photo. So here some photo I taken today. wash, clay bar, wax, polish and conditions on interior cabin.

PS. I finally notice a paint defects on the tailgate, near the lic. plate, look like sand and dirt that got painted over tailgate at the factory. I will take it to dealer tomorrow, and see what they got to say about that. Anyone else have this problem????

less than 1200 miles on it. I am little upset with the tailgate. Let see how BMW handle this.

Sorry to heard that the paint defects on the tailgate, yes, definitely take it to the dealer and see what they have to say about that.

Everything else, your car looks insanely CLEAN!! It's like a freaking mirror on the outside.

Love the rubber/all weather floormats you have there (front, rear and cargo area), can you tell me where you got them from?

Thanks!

Edited: Is the rubber mats from the dealer or did you get them elsewhere?

Looks good. Here is my 2 cents. Take it to the dealer and see what they say. DO NOT LET THE DEALER BUFF the car. If you need it buffed out take it to a qualified detailer or body shop. The dealer will make more of a mess of the tailgate than it already is if they buff it themselves. Unless, of course they have someone extremely experienced with a rotary buffer.

I have at least 2 (what looks likes grains of sand) paint marks on my 08' 4.8i. Unless you are waxing, or being totally anal (which I am with all my cars), I don't think anyone would notice...and I hate turning my car into the dealer.

Honestly, our last 3-4 Bimmers have not had "perfect" paint. I've found that Mercedes and Audi have superior paint.

Nice ride.

I also noticed something similar on my left passenger door. Looks like sand that got painter over. I only noticed it after I Zaino'ed my X. The only concern is this might turn into a future paint problem, where sand and paint might chip off after so many washes and waxing. I will probably show it to the dealer on my next visit.
