When does the new model year start for the X5?
Some cars have it in January. But more and more, have the model year switch in July to November time frame. I'd was just wondering if I should wait for the 2009. I like to see if they put the drivetrain and V8 engine from the X6, in the X5. I know it's just rumors. Thanks....

Not sure of the exact date for new model year rollout.... but just an FYI... I custom ordered my X5 last July (of '07) to have our car arrive with the first batch of '08 models. The car was ready for pickup in early October, of '07.
BTW: I ordered the options for that model using the '07 options list.... so I missed out on one of the NEW features that I would have ordered - Auto-Tailgate.... So if you decide to wait and custom build, you may not find out about the new configurations until the models start rolling out onto the showrooms. Hope that helps....

Next MY production starts in late September to early October. However, the soonest you'll see them at dealers will be November.
