New Passport 9500ci (concealed) arrived... now how to install it?? anyone?? ;)

I received today the new Passport 9500ci radar detector/laser jammer from Escort. This is the 'remote installed' unit, with front/rear laser jammers installed near bumpers and radar antenae in grill area. it also has a GPS unit for some cool functionality. Current reviews are putting this system as one of, if not the best around... but i'd rather not get into a discussion on that.

Rather... i need to figure out how to install it. I know i can go to a professional (and probably will)... but would like to do myself if possible. Couple questions:

1) has anyone tapped into an accessory powered wire under the drivers dash of a 2007 or 2008 X5 before? If so, which is the best wire to use/identify?

2) has anyone installed a remote detector like this on a 2007/2008 X5 and if so, do you have pictures? I'm trying to figure out where exactly to put all the sensors... and particularly wondering about the wiring for the rear laser unit, as it's a bit complicated with the current tailgate design.

I had the Passport SRX system (previous model) in my previous 2002 x5... but that setup and car is very different from the E70.

So... anyone have any thoughts/pics/experience??

thanks.
