I wonder if you have good credit you can stretch it to 66 months for the 2.9%.

Not just X5 but 6-series and 7-series are also included on 2.9%.
Also 2.9% financing on all CPO BMWs. |

Just called the dealer in Mt View (SF Bay Area) and here are the financing terms he quoted for the X5.
36 months = 1.9% 36-48 months = 2.9% 49-60 months = 3.9% |

BMW is getting hurt with low residual values (below lease residuals) so they are now trying to get people to buy.
BMW has increased money factors and reduced residuals on leases this month. They are also about to increase prices. I am sure the weak dollar is hurting them. I think that come late summer a lot of cars will not be sold and all the manufacturers will be offering large incentives.

Thanks for this alert. This may push me over the edge for getting a 2008 right now if my spouse can be persuaded to give up our 2004 4.4i sports sterling grey.

Due to my driving pattern, I think it in my interest to get a new vehicle of some sort now rather than pay for extended warranty that covers everything but what I need + expensive repairs + tires (1 set right now), etc on the X5 that I like a lot.
Gas mileage is an issue, but one my office blunts to a degree for me since they cover my trips. |
