e70 hood dings

I'm having trouble with hood dings. I had two, had the hood repaired/repainted and now have two more.

One of the latest one I know is from a rock that kicked up. But the other 3 are from overhead and are hail-like but with a sharp edge and slightly deeper.

I see no paw prints, but I have seen a possum in the drive. THere is a tree overhead but no nuts or anything hard.

I've parked other cars in same spot with no problems.

Anyone had similar problems? I'm wondering why I'm having all these problems - if the hood is too weak or ?

The hood is quite light. It is made out of aluminum and is designed to crumple easily on impact to absorb the force especially pedestrian collision. As for the possum you could always get one of these:
