Angry 2008 Comfort Seat Problem

New 08 X5 and Driver's Side Comfort Seat has stopped working. Upon taking it to shop, they claimed that there are no parts available anywhere in the US and implied that this may be a fairly widespread issue such that the electronic module is being replaced. Anyone have this issue. And, becuase I have my first highway trip in the new car, would like to have any suggestions to get the seat functioning again. Part from Germany will take a week.

Do you notice any other electronics sleeping or not working from time to time? If you have another car, try letting the X5 charge for a bit and see if that helps. If not, I have nothing--sounds like you'll have to wait for the parts.
