Just an update FWIW... My stealership couldn't track down the source of the clunk. They drove both a demo and a new truck, and found that they all had it. They called BMW, and were told that it' s just part of it, and nothing could be done.

I guess that's good enough for me, being that it takes a good bit to make it happen, and is far from "normal" driving....well...unless you like to jerk your wheel back and forth alot...or visit slalom courses frequently....

I figured as much though...probably just the nature of the beast, when considering adaptive-steering or whatever it's called

I have adaptive drive and had that noise. It took 6 weeks for the new upgraded electronic front swaybar to come from Germany. My old one had play in it.

Get them to check that as there must be a problem with the early model one.

Cool thanks... I will definitely get them to check that out. I have to bring it back anyways when my seat parts come in, as they take 10 days or so to ship from Germany(driver's seat made racket when adjusting)
