Rear Power Outlet.

Help!!

Does anyone know how or when power is supplied to the outlet in the cargo area?

I have a Waeco cooler, but it will only work when the engine is running. Am I doing something wrong, or is this normal???

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks Guys,

I'm glad it's not just me. You wouldn't believe how many hours I have spent wriggling plugs with the wife saying "Noooo - It's still not working!"

I guess this is to stop the battery going flat - but kinda defeats the purpose of the power outlet really - if it won't give you any power!

Enter vehicle, insert key, start engine, exit vehicle, open tailgate, start cooler, close tailgate, enter vehicle, engage seatbelt, continue journey - oh, and whatever you do, don't turn off engine or you need to return to step one and repeat.

One could alway hot wire to the battery, which is fortuitously rather close to said cooler..............

Once again, thanks for your help.
