Couple of questions after week 1...

1. When I unlock and open the door the car makes a sound that sounds like air escaping in addition to other "electronic" noises. I assume this is normal.

2. During this time the Nav DVD drive starts running and doesn't seem to stop running even after several minutes of the car just sitting there after being unlocked. Not sure if this is normal.

Any thoughts?

I don't have a Sport Pkg so can't comment on #1 but I do have NAVI.
But overall, I do not hear any noises (DVDs spinning) when I shut down.

1. Yeah, it's probably the seat bolsters adjusting. They move for easier access when you open the door and tighten again when you close.

Can't speak for the second one.

I think it is normal... it is waking up the system so when you get in you don't have to wait on it.

I only have the regular sport seats so I don't think that would be it. The sound seems like its coming from the back of the car.

the electronic noises are from the NAV/DVD spinning...

even when the vehicle is off... there's still a bit of activity going on...

i believe the entire vehicle shuts down 5-10 minutes after ignition cutoff..

but, for whatever reason, the NAV/DVD spins from time to time..

noticed this while sitting in the car for a long period of time while waiting for the wife to come out of a dept store...

Not sure if it's normal, but my E70 does both too.
