Aftermarket Exhaust Tips

If you can post a picture of your setup, and what brand\info if you got it!

I recently put the Magnaflow 35168 it looks much better then the stock singles, but I had the same problem everyone else has had. The muffler shop cut the pipes, spot welded, but they still stick out too far.

MagnaFlow Performance Exhaust

I am looking for something shorter, a bit wider as these also don't fill the whole space, dual tips, and pref black so they don't need to be painted..anyone with an idea please post as well!

The current specs of the magnaflow are:

Material: 100% Stainless Steel - Mirror Finish
Diameter: 3in.
I.D. Inlet: 2.25in.
Length: 10in.

My X'er is booked for this afternoon to fit the quad exhaust tips. Tips are made by Bosal exhaust and are made of high quaility SS.

Will post some pics by tommorrow.

I did a search on this and saw a lot of post from 07, I was looking to upgrade my 3.0 tips. I saw a set at a local speed shop and when it came time for installation, they couldn't do it bc of the severe bend before the tips. I used thr part numbers from the old 07 posts and they couldn't come up with anything. Anyone else know where to get a descent set of 4.8 tips without too much modification ?

Has anyone tried those ebay tips? They are supposedly bolt on.

I had the dual set put on now, but they stick out too far. I had the muffler shop cut the stock piece off, and spot weld the new tips on..they look okay..but I just want a big bigger to fill the gap as well as black. I could always have them painted worst case scenario..

Its fairly cheap to have a good exhaust shop do these $80-$100 for the whole thing if you supply the tips

I see. They do look just a tad too far out. I didn't really notice on Shashankmittal's X. His is similar, maybe a bit better.

How about this one?

DiameterLengthI.D. InletPart #2.75in.x5.25in.7.25in.2.25in.35175

I still want to go dual look..the perfect fit really would be the way the cayenne is designed where they sit perfect inside the bumper. I think its going to be hard to find that alone, so Im not concerned with them being black I can just have them painted.

I believe the tips in the picture are the cayenne gts stock tips just painted black..

It will be impossible to get tips that will make it look like that. The outside tip has to be shorter than the inside tip to follow the contour of the bumper. You might try single wall duals and have them cut to match the lines of the bumper. Not sure how the tips will look after getting cut, but maybe they can smooth it out and refinish it to look good again.
