Sirius and XM together possbile??
Hey all, I'm considering adding a portable Pioneer Nav unit to my new '08 X5 and it is able to support XM radio as well...I already have Sirius but am a die hard XM subscriber since day 1 and want to have XM as well...Is there anyway to tie in an XM receiver to the stock system either through an open output or possibly through the AUX/REAR output??Not sure if anyone has done this or if it's possible?? I called my local dealer tech today and he still hasn't gotten back to me yet...Any ideas or thoughts would be great!!
THANKS! PS: Also with the Sirius/XM merger coming, the packages are confusing and would actually cost more to get the channels I would want including the sports packages, ie NFL, MLB, College sports, etc. So it would be cheaper to have the full service of each.

So I have a portable Pioneer Inno that I run with and I used my ipod adapter to plug the Inno into the system and it works although the sound isn't as good as the ipod sound...I just used a straight headphone jack to the aux jack in the storage compartment...I was wondering, is there an adapter that would allow me to use both the regular stereo jack, and the usb interface jack(which is provided by BMW) to then plug that into my Inno which just has a plain stereo jack??I was thinking maybe the sound would be better and also give me control over the Inno through the stock system...Just curious!
Thanks!!

The merger is almost approved as per today's news.
