HOW TO REMOVE SEAT BACK
Have had a problem with my DVD headrests that has been diagnosed as a connection that has come out so decided to open up the back of the seat. Not having done this before and being unable to find any advice, heart was understandably beating a little faster in case I broke something. It actually was so simple I had to chuckle I have Comfort seats but I understand from looking at the diagrams the sports seats have the same clips. STEP 1. Tilt seat forward, then upper body of seat forward with controls. The upper cover is only secured at the top by a push in clip on either side. There are two lower level 'locating' inserts that do nothing more than keep the lower section aligned. STEP 2. Slide the fingers of each hand down between the cover and the seat material, and pull gently but firmly towards you. Be sure to get your fingers right down so that they are as close as possible to the clips and the force you apply is adjacent to them. The spring load to the clip will be overloaded and pop out. Do the same on the other side then lift cover away. Pic shows cover flipped around to show clips. STEP 3. Lower Cover. Slide fingers down bewteen seat frame and cover (pic only shows one hand as the other is holding the camera) and pull firmly towards you. Same again on the other side and lift out and away That's it!!! Cheers John

Awesome thread. My passenger seat was rattling. After i took it apart, i noticed that the motor that drives the headrest up and down, had fallen off of its attachment point. So it was rattling against the seat back, and the headrest wasnt moving up and down. Was able to clip it back, in, and now both are working. Great thread on how to remove the seat back.

Does anyone know if I could find a 12V supply in the seat somewhere... This would avoid that I have to place new wires...
What is thus the best way to get 12v into the back of the seat and use it there to attach the sigaret lighter adapter for my portable dvd player?
