X5 On The Beach (and a couple questions)

We just got back from a family trip down the Oregon Coast - the X5 performed pretty much flawlessly. We took it out on the beach and had some fun - sorry, no pics of that! Below are a couple of quick shots - I also have two issues/questions for you guys:

- there's a noticable "creaking" in the back (inside) when we go over bumps. sounds like the tailgate or some interior trim pieces making noise. Anyone else experience something like this.
- the sound system seemed to be acting up. it'd go real quiet for awhile and then go back to normal levels. occasionally the left/right would cut out entirely. thoughts?

(yes, we will be going to the dealer to have these things checked out)

Unfortunately, I am noticing this too. It's on my list when I go in to the dealer. I have little hope that they will fix it though

I removed the retractable cargo cover because the squeaking was driving me nuts. That seemed to help.

The audio going up and down might be due to the "speed volume" feature... check to see if that option is enabled. It is supposed to make it louder automatically when more road noise is detected and vice versa.

Thanks for all the comments!

As for the creaking - we pulled the cargo security cover out the day we took delivery, so it's not that. I'll let you guys know what the dealer says - we can repro it pretty easily, but I'm not confident the dealer will have a solution.

I futzed with the speed sensing settings for the radio, but that didn't solve anything. It really seems like a "loose wire" to one of the amps.

Had the same cutting in and out. Also thought it was speakers. Checked out at the dealer's and they of course could find nothing. Realized it happened only on AUX with ipod. Ended up being the ipod connector-like a loose connection. It finally just went away.
