09 sales are supposed to start in October this year. You're a bit early with asking this question.

Actually you can order the 09 X5s now, and have actually already ordered an 09 335i (even though they aren't on the lots yet) and have agreed to an over invoice price. As for the X5 I had heard the some people were getting under invoice and would hope to see what some had gotten for their 09 X5s.
Btw this is a 3.0. |

I am desperatly trying to find some figures on what people are getting for the 09s. Has no one ordered one yet? My Mom was in an accident a few motnhs ago and she has been driving a rental car for all this time, going to cost her a fortune. So you can imagine why I am so desperate to find some prices. If anyone could help me out I'd really apprecaite it.

I don't think the prices on ordered 09s are typically as soft as the fire sale on the 08s.
I was about to order an 09 until a local dealer found an 08 with everything we wanted. Got the 08 for just over $6k under MSRP, and he was offering 3% off of MSRP (approx $2k off) for ordering the 09, plus the prices go up in 09. Cars on the ground are much more negotiable than one that hasn't been built. Dealers will only deep discount those cars that are already on their books and costing them every day... |

Well I just talked to my Mom and she told me she woulnd't mind an 08. Its also better cause she needs a car now and not later.
So what are the 08s going for? I had heard some people talking about $1500 under invoice, is this possible without the usual 5 hours at the dealership? I just agreed on a price with my CA (2 weeks ago) on an 09 335i, so can i use this to negotiate? Where does the free Premium Pkg come in? Does my CA factor this in to my price? I am mainly just wanting to call in to my CA and make an offer to avoid the endless hours sitting around at the dealership. What is a good "fair " price? Any help would be apprecaited. |

Ultimately it depends on the relationship you have with your dealer. I've bought 5 BMWs in the last 15 years from the same salesman (and now he's the sales mgr) at the same dealership. I know how they work, and they know I'm ready to buy when I call them up.
There is a promotion right now that offers a free premium package. On a 4.8, that's $1850 off the price right away. Apparently dealers can opt out of this, but I'm not sure why. It probably affects part of their holdback or something similar. I was personally able to quickly get to the price of $1000 under original invoice, but because of the premium promotion, it was $600 or so above the real invoice, so they were able to make some money on the deal. Total time involved: 2 emails on a Saturday and a 1 hour visit on Sunday to finalize the deal and shake on it. It also helped that this was at the end of the model year and end of the month. At the same time, I was able to do this because we were talking about a car that they had no money in, so there wasn't so much pressure to make a larger profit. If I was offering on one of their limited allocation, already on the lot and incurring interest, etc, I don't think I would have been able to get anywhere near what I got. There are lots of posts on here about end-of-08 pricing. I suggest you spend a bunch of time reading posts and the pricing docs in the stickies. |

You better decide quickly since BMW is planning to cut back production and the discounts/low APR incentives will end pretty soon. BMW is well known for not offering big incentives. Once it reduces production to meet demand the promotions will end (see article below). Good luck.
