Our X5 on Eastern Creek Track

What did you do on a bright sunny Tuesday?
Go to work? Get hassled by your boss?

We didn’t.

We had a fantastic day out at Eastern Creek Raceway with our Mini’s and BMW X5 got to enjoy the “go- kart” exhilaration that Mini provides. With nine ClubMini members and their Mini’s on the track, a fun day was had by all.

WOW AWSOME is what I can say about the X5 at 200 km/h down the straight (no more runway) and cornering which was mind blowing for a 2.3 ton vehicle this baby really moves

wanta look at some pics

What was the noise level like driving the X5 at 200 km/h? (124mph for those using imperial)
I once drove the X5 at around 160 km/h (100mph), I found the noise level sort of intrusive... But there was almost no feeling of tippiness or unstable feel.

PS. Are you saying you went into a corner at 200 km/h?

Corner speed not exactly sure I was concertrating on the corner to be honest but at the 100 mtr from the corner we were doing the 200 km/h probably closer to 160-170 through the corner

noise level - at 100 km/h very quiet @ 200 much noisier
But I like to V8 purrr
