Does BMW include a FREE "Break-in" oil change?

Just curious. Does anyone know if BMW includes a "FREE Break-in oil change"?

I called to make an appointment, but the service advisor said that BMW does not do that. The only time I can get a free oil change is when the service indicator light comes up (10k-15k) or if I've had the car for over a year! The advisor pretty much said, "Show me where it says BMW provides a 1st FREE oil change".

I thought I read somewhere that the very 1st oil change for break-in was free. Has anyone had any experience with this or know if this is documented anywhere? Any help is appreciated.

Note: Now I know that there is a huge debate on whether this "break-in" oil change is even necessary. But since I'll be keeping this car for a while. I just want to do it anyways to be on the safe side.

How much is a dealer oil change? Around $100 per?

Should you trust a local shop that deals with expensive cars only? Any savings there? Void the warranty?
