Sounds odd, I've no idea on temperature but my 2008 Xenons fire up light blue instantly and settle to a near white blue...no yellow.....

Are you talking about the daytime running lights? They aren't xenons...

I would take it in to the stealer, park it next to a car they have on the lot and compare the lights.

I'd like to see those pics too, because my lights look the same as well. From outside the car, they look fine, but from the drivers position, they don't seem to look right.

Have your changed the bulbs on the E53 to a higher temperature bulb?
The E70 is 4300K as it should be. Do NOT get a higher colour temperature than 4300K as actually get LESS light! Your also strain your eyes a lot more with the blueish light. Blue is not a color you want when driving at night. HID bulbs are not in fact blue light, but white. The blue is a result of the lens system in the headlight, and is only cast in the very edge of the light cone. This has resulted in the popular preception that HIDs are blue. Take a drive at night with the E70 and see how they perform. Do not make up your mind from the preception based on false information. |
