Fitting Exhaust Tips
Ok, I'm caving in to the mod bug. My completely unmodified X5 is about to get some exhaust tips (oval - not square 4.8 versions). Anyway, my question regards the removal of the plastic trim around the 3.0si standard exhaust - is there a way to remove that without removing the whole bumper? Is it a brute force thing or is there a trick to removing the retaining clips?
Any help appreciated. I Promise to post pics when finished! EDIT: Fixed: the trick is to push in on the trim with a screwdriver at the side of the trim piece. This pushes the trim back inside the bumper which can then be jiggled about to get it out.
