faint clicking sound from gear shifter

Hey guys, I noticed a very faint clicking sound that comes from the gear shifter everytime i accelerate or brake.

this has never happened before. i usually use ds mode 60/70% of the time i drive.

i was wondering if this has happened to anyone. My car is an August / September 2007 build. E70 3.0d

I hope this is not a serious issue. Hope someone can shed some light about this issue. I have not told the dealer about this yet and wanted to know your views.

Thanks & Regards in advance.

hi,

I have a 4.8i and I use manual mode about 20-30% of the time, and I do not hear any clicking whatsoever.

Do a quick drive with your BMW service guy if it concerns you.
