Seatbelt Adjustment B Pillar Gone??

Guys - had my E70 for a couple weeks and generally love it apart from the odd minor gripe (and the lumps taken out of my front left 20 inch rim by the missus on day 12

)

One of the gripes is the seatbelts - am I missing something or can you really not change the height of the seat belt point on the B-Pillar? You could in my E53 up and down by about 6 inches. Both my wife and I are quite short and the belt ends up digging in our necks even with the seat lifted up high.

Which dumb-ass at BMW decided to remove such a simple and useful feature??

I think the Edmunds.com and the Consumer Reports revews menioned this shortcoming. I guess it saved a few $$ to leave it out.

I think this dumb-ass must be working at BMW for quite a while now because it's the same thing on my 2004 E61

Luckily the standard height works for me... I'm surprised that my wife didn't complain about this as she's about 7 inches shorter than I am... but wait, I don't let her drive my BMW...

It's annoying. I complained here somewhere too. I'm 5'7" or so and it hits me in the neck. It could strangle a short person.

What about the short sun visors? Have you ever driven towards the sun after about 3 PM (summer). You better have a good pair of sunglasses because the visors are only about 4.5" from top to bottom. Or, you could raise the seat up until your head gets close to the roof. Wait a minute, that might solve the seatbelt issue!

have to move the seat the fit the seat belt.. doesn't bother

I never realised BMW even bothered with this feature. It was on many older Toyotas we had, and kinda nice, but not something I'd really care about. Your average American driver has enough trouble adjusting the head restraints properly.
