I would suggest the Michelin Latitude. I researched the forums and read reviews in various retailer sites and the latitude seem to be the best tire quality and minimal road noise. I purchased the Michelin Latitude about a month ago and they have been great, except for a minor air leak to one wheel, that is not related to the tire!

I thought they didn't make Diamaris anymore?
Anyway when I had the Latitude Tour HP runflats, they were great... even in light snow.

In my experience - Diamaris for increased handling and Latitude's for snow. That's how it stacks up for me on stock 20" rims. The Latitudes give up some turn in and don't seem to hold in the corners as well but have a slightly better (compliant) ride. The Diamaris should never be used in any snow, corner better and have a slightly harsher ride.

X5rolls is right, you can't compare these two tires.

Diamaris are a nail magnet! Had them on my other SUV and constantly got nails in them. Not very surprising since they are so soft, thus providing great summer handling.
We used Latitutes on that car afterwards. Surprisingly it does improve gas consumption (not much, about a 1 mpg gain), but the tread life is much better, plus no more random flats (driving around the same area). Latitutes work great if your not pushing the car to it's limit all the time. For daily drivers, they are great. Only wish I went without the 3rd row to get the spare to switch to these tires on my X5. Now I'm stuck with the Dunlops. |

My 20"s Latitude HP are way more comfortable an quiet than my OEM 20" Latitude ZP.
My only complaint is that they look narrower in the fronts compared to stocks. My friend's e70 fitted with 19"s non RF Diamaris doesn't compare with my 20's Hp's in terms of comfort and noise level. Hp's are a clear winner. |
