2009 BMW X5 GARNERS KELLEY BLUE BOOK'S KBB.COM AWARD FOR BEST RESALE VALUE IN LUXURY CROSSOVER SEGMENT

Woodcliff Lake, NJ - November 19, 2008... The 2009 BMW X5 Sport Activity Vehicle has been recognized as the leader in the luxury crossover category of Kelley Blue Book's kbb.com 2009 Best Resale Value Awards. With this latest honor, BMW has garnered a total of 12 awards since the program was established in 2003.
"We are very pleased to receive this honor for the BMW X5," said Robert Frisch, Vice President, Western Region, BMW of North America, LLC. "Certainly, this award underscores BMW's commitment to product excellence, which extends beyond superior performance, luxury and safety to deliver outstanding value for our customers."

Kelley Blue Book, a leading provider of new- and used-vehicle information, derives its resale value projections from current vehicle data, sales data, market conditions for each vehicle, competition within vehicle segments, expectations of the future economy and the combined experience of Kelley Blue Book's team of market and pricing analysts. Values reflect projected wholesale pricing for clean, reconditioned vehicles at the end of a five-year lease or ownership period.

"Of all the crossover vehicles in what has become a booming category, the BMW X5 is, by a large margin, the most exhilarating to drive," said Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director and executive market analyst for Kelley Blue Book and kbb.com. "When others said it was impossible to keep BMW's character in a versatile vehicle like a crossover, BMW engineers proved them wrong by delivering a vehicle that is as rewarding to drive as a top-ranked sports sedan."
