Aero Kit Pricing

Hello All

Looking for some feedback on the Aero Kit for the X5. Don't seem to be able to track down invoice pricing for kit (dealer installed). I'm thinking about ordering.

Does anyone who has the Aero Kit installed remember how much the kit cost? Did you order at dealer POS or was it after market?

Thanks

There are a lot of posts on this pricing. You could try the search feature.

My recommendation is to have the dealer do it. Prices for part, painting and installation at dealer seems to have varied from $1,500 to $2,600. The list price of the part is around $1,100 so it's not easy getting the lower price.

Based on your location (NY area), I think you would find it hard to get a low price --- I was able to get mine as low as $1,800 but that was negotiated as part my car purchase. I think the dealer wanted $2,400.

The above sums it up... I ended up paying $2300+tax on it (part/paint/install) after the car came in - dealer did it for me. I went with them because they were actually the cheapest for me in total... another dealer wanted $3600 firm and they didn't want to discount much off MSRP on the vehicle purchase either.

You may have wiggle room if you don't get a huge discount on the vehicle... you can haggle a lot more on this part and make up the difference (which is probably why I had to pay more than avg on it).
