Bluetooth issues need help
Today is the first time in almost one year of ownership of my 08 4.8i that I have had a problem with my bluetooth connection with my Motorola Razr V3xxx it has always worked perfect up until today. Now when I go to my phone setting through i-drive all of my contacts are there and I can even dial my contacts but when it automatically connects I cannot hear it ring, I cannot hear when someone picks up, nor can they hear me when I say hello. What would cause this problem and how can I fix it? I have tried three times to establish a new connection and enter my BMW pass code in which works but each time my phone connects with blue tooth I get no sound and the same issues above.

First thing I would try is another phone pairing to ensure it's not an audio problem with the vehicle. Did you also try restarting idrive?

Try doing a hard reset on your phone if your phone supports that. You'll lose data so make sure you've backed up addressbook, etc. I had Bluetooth problems with my Treo 800w in my 08 x5 and a hard reset fixed it immediately.
