I don't know if they come from BMW that way, but ECS Tuning has LED license plate bulbs available.

Wondering if this will interfere with the rear camera being right next to it in terms of overexposure. What it needs is more lighting illuminating the road behind (which the brake lights provide a bit, but you can't ride your brakes going backwards all the time)...

I don't think it will interfere that much.. that license bulb not to bright to begin with. I have it in my FX35 with LED license bulb and camera.. it works fine...

Now, in term of the LED license plate light.. i will experiement it wtih the set from my 335i.

I have them. Easy install and no error messages. (edited because vendor referenced is not a forum sponsor)

I don't know what it does to the picture on the rear view camera since I've had that POS turned off since I got the car. It can't get much worse, so I don't think it will matter much.
