Inventory Search Sites...

Seems like some Dealer sites(very few) allow you to search inventory and see options. Some others, let you see "Model Type, Color and MSRP", with which you could come pretty close to determining options.

Does anybody know of a good single site where we could search a dealer's inventory?

I assume the answer is no, but I thought I'd give it a try anyway.

I think it depends on the location you live but Autotrader has been good for me when searching infiniti cars in the so cal area. Edmunds now has that "see inventory" thing as well. Not sure how acurate it is.

Your dealer has the best search function. From your other posts, you have paid a deposit and want to change the order with the dealer. Seems to me you should go see your dealer, tell him what you want to do, and let him come up with the closest vehicle to what you want. Better to work with him.

I'll be honest...I'm not too fond of the guy...lack of trust. I'm totally happy sticking with the deal I got and the car I ordered...just curious if I could take advantage of the new offer, thats all.

You very likely can take advantage of the new offer. Your best chance of doing that, though, is to work transparently with your dealer. You want a cheaper car, sooner. He wants to sell a car sooner. This is a win-win. Why go to other dealers and bring potential conflict into it, that will just give your dealer a reason to be difficult about returning your deposit.

The reason to seach inventory was to search HIS inventory...I'm not going to other dealers, i'm not shady...

I don't think going to other dealers would be "shady" anyway. It's your money and you have the right to spend it wherever you like. They would screw you over in a heartbeat if they could put a few more dollars into their pockets.

Don't forget that the role of the sales person is to get you to spend as much as you can. They might offer you coffee, wear nice suits and act all buddy buddy with you. But at the end of the day their goal is to sell you a car for as much as they can squeeze out of you. They are not your friend. You are more like a four legged deer standing still while they line up the crosshairs on your chest. Don't ever forget that.

So don't feel disloyal by shopping around.
