Question How long does the alarm sound for?

I'm having an alarm retrofitted through my dealer sometime in the couple of weeks (yes, I'm in Australia where they're not standard and I'm waiting on the parts from Germany) as I have break-in issues in my apartment complex car park.
As I'm at work all day and the car stays home , I'm interested to know how long will the alarm sound for if it goes off (no doubt, much to the annoyance of the folks at home through the day )?
Will it keep going off until I get home and can disarm it or will the battery die fairly quickly?

most alarm systems shut off after a couple of minutes (at least the sirene), I suppose the vehicle stays in some sort of safe mode however
I don't even know what my sirene sounds like...

The alarm sounds like E60 (Very high pitch distress sound). It should goes off in 1-2 min. but your ignition will be disable, also your alarm will activate again if someone tamper with it again.

But I just don't know how to activate it manually on E70. ON E60 I can just armed it and try to open the door from inside and the alarm will start, but my E70 doesn't. Does anyone know?

Press and hold the trunk release button on the remote to activate the audible alarm manually.

I forgot about the interior motion sensor and it went off when my dog was still in there... you can always set it off yourself that way as well. The tone is too high pitched to be loud, which isn't all that great IMO.

I tried that already, but still doesn't work. Just don't know what to do now

if you're lucky it will go off while you drive home from dinner.

i don't think you can set off the motion alarm if you have the key with you. leave someone in the car and lock the doors from outside with the fob, then either move around inside or open a door from inside.
